When bi-directional network address translation (NAT) is used between the Steelhead appliances, optimization is not working. A workaround to this is: (Select 2) 

Use fixed-target rules on the server-side Steelhead appliance 

Enable server-side out-of-the-path on the server-side Steelhead appliance 

Enable destination oobtransparency 

Enable Full Transparency 

There is no work around for a double NAT'd situation
